                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
                   EXECUTE AND ATTEST AN AMENDMENT TO THE
                   AGREEMENT WITH MATTHEW KENT WHITAKER,
                   FREELANCE DESIGNER, TO CONTINUE "CLEAR
                   CHOICE" PUBLICATION AND OTHER RELATED PUBLIC
                   RELATIONS MATERIALS FOR THE STORMWATER
                   PROGRAM FOR A FURTHER PERIOD OF TWELVE (12) 
                   MONTHS ENDING JUNE 30, 1996, FOR AN
                   ESTIMATED AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR THOUSAND
                   DOLLARS ($4,000.00) WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL.

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to execute an amendment to the agreement with Matthew Kent
       Whitaker, freelance designer, to continue "Clear Choice"
       publication and other related public relations materials for the
       Stormwater Program for a further period of twelve (12) months
       ending June 30, 1996, for an estimated amount not to exceed
       $4,000.00, without prior approval.
